A Short Description
Swan Song is a relaxing puzzle game about music, family & loss. Solve puzzles inside a music box, all the while uncovering the tragic story behind the box, it's maker and his family.
How does it work?
Each puzzle is a piece of music waiting to be written. Place musical notes on your scale. Their position determines which platforms activate when the melody plays. Once you’ve composed your solution, turn the key and let the music guide the swan through the level.
Perfect timing and thoughtful placement are the keys to success. Between puzzles, a touching narrative slowly unfolds, revealing the story of the music box’s creator and the family it was made for.
The Story
You discover an old, mysterious music box filled with personal artifacts. This was the creator’s final masterpiece, his “swan song”. Lovingly crafted as a tribute to his family.
With every puzzle you solve, fragments of his story come to light. What happened to the family? What secrets does the box hold? Let the music lead you through a story of grief, memories & regret.
Swan Song's Future Free Updates
We will update Swan Song with some free updates in the months after release. These of course include some bug fixes, but we also have some additional content planned! Later this year you can expect to get your hands on the level editor, so you can create your own levels and share them on the steam workshop. This level editor will also get some updates with platforms and additional mechanics never seen in the main story! We will also be working on proper controller & better Steam Deck support. A console release of Swan Song is something we really want to do! We are working on it, but don't have an exact release plan for it yet. Stay tuned for more!

It's a cool and relaxing game, but the last (probably) level broke, I put the notes together incorrectly and then my box closed and stopped opening, but I could also activate the key :)
Thanks for playing and reporting that bug! We'll get it fixed asap! 😁
It looks very touching, but i cant find how to add notes on the scales. I see the dots growing when i click on them, but nothing more. What am i missing ?
Hey! You can drag and drop notes in place on the dots! The notes are then attached to that dot and the platforms with the according symbol will react when the note is played! 😁
Funny little bug, I found that flipping over the note at the very beginning crashes the game (edit: i had the older version installed but didn't notice lol, my bad) (edit two: i also found that right at the beginning you can shove the key directly in the box and almost lose it in there)
additionally, when i pulled the key out right as the level ended, it left me with two of the three notes and the key turning on its own
Hey! Thanks for reporting these bugs! :D We still have a lot to fix before we can release a more "official" demo! So thanks for bringing these up!
